Terms & Conditions – Live Wedding Illustration by Peggy L Illustration

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before booking any live wedding illustration service with Peggy L Illustration (“I”, “me”, or “the Artist”). By making a booking, you agree to the following terms.
 

1. Booking & Payment

1.1 A non-refundable deposit of £100 is required to secure the date.
1.2 Your booking is confirmed only after the deposit has been received.
1.3 The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the wedding date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
1.4 Prices quoted at the time of booking will be honoured. Any later changes to guest numbers, hours required, or add-on services may incur additional charges.

2. Coverage on the Day

2.1 Standard service includes live guest illustrations within the agreed hours.
2.2 I will do my best to illustrate as many guests as possible; however, a set number cannot be guaranteed due to varying drawing speeds, guest availability, and event flow.
2.3 If you wish to extend the service on the day, this is subject to availability and will be charged at £100 per additional hour.
2.4 I recommend starting the illustration session 30 minutes before your ceremony or main event, to give you maximum coverage.

3. Artist Requirements

3.1 A small seated area (two chairs + small table) and access to a nearby plug socket (if required for printing) must be provided.
3.2 A sheltered or indoor space must be arranged for outdoor weddings. I cannot work in the rain or under unsafe weather conditions.
3.3 Adequate lighting must be provided for evening or low-light venues.

4. Printing

4.1 All portraits are sketched digitally on iPad and printed instantly using my portable printer.
4.2 Printer performance may be affected by venue temperature, humidity, or power supply issues. I will always do my best to resolve technical issues on the day.

5. Digital Files

5.1 Digital copies are not included unless they are part of a package or purchased as an add-on.
5.2 Add-on digital files (full set of guest portraits or individual images) are delivered within 14 days after the wedding.
5.3 All digital images are for personal use only (see Section 7).

6. Travel & Accommodation

6.1 Travel up to 60 miles from Northwich Cheshire is included.
6.2 Additional travel is charged at £0.45 per mile (round trip).
6.3 For bookings requiring travel over 3 hours each way, overnight accommodation may be required and will be discussed beforehand.

7. Copyright & Usage

7.1 All artwork remains the copyright of Peggy L Illustrations.
7.2 Clients receive a personal-use licence only. Artwork cannot be used commercially, resold, or edited without permission.
7.3 I may use photos, videos, and the artwork created at your wedding for portfolio, marketing, and social media purposes.
7.4 If you prefer not to have your images shared publicly, please notify me in writing/ on the enquirey form before the event.

8. Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

8.1 The deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.
8.2 If you cancel after the remaining balance has been paid, refunds are not available within 30 days of the event.
8.3 If I am unable to attend due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond my control:

• A full refund will be issued, or

• A suitable replacement illustrator will be arranged (if possible).

8.4 If you need to change your wedding date, I will do my best to accommodate the new date.
However:

• Date changes are subject to my availability.

• If I am already booked on your new date, the deposit cannot be refunded, as it covers the original date secured for you.

• If I am available, your booking will be moved with no additional deposit required.
   

9. Client Responsibilities

9.1 You are responsible for ensuring that guests understand the optional queue or drawing process.
9.2 Guests who do not wish to be drawn will not be approached.
9.3 If your event runs behind schedule, this does not guarantee an extension of illustration time.

10. Liability

10.1 I cannot be held responsible for delays caused by venue restrictions, extreme weather, or guest-related interruptions.
10.2 I am fully insured with public liability insurance.
10.3 I take great care in handling equipment but am not liable for accidental damage caused by guests or venue staff.
